Quinoa (sounds like: Kinwa). Has anybody tried this newly discovered super food that is recommended by NASA and many health mags?

i would be interested to hear from Carole as our resident nutritionist and Alix as an exemplary researcher? Not forgetting our resident Chef Mun?

Maybe this may be a good crop for Jindy as it likes the high country and is healthy food for all us animals. i believe that soaps and other incredible things can even be extracted from it. Could be a good crop that is increasing in demand from many industries.

 This is a pic of a nicely sheltered area from the wind. It is just below the ridge and track to the “LunDuncans” East of our existing shipping container.

Bonfire Night

Lou and i are going to have a bonfire night on Saturday the 1st Sept. 2012 (Blue Moon), all are welcome. Bushfire season starts so this will clear some flammables that we have stacked around the place.

i need a name for this coming event as we might do it annually. This also heralds the weed spraying season where any help will be greatly appreciated.

 On the 14th  Aug. 2012 we received official correspondence from the Snowy River Shire Council informing us as to our new address.

500 Bushy Park Road Eeast Jindabyne NSW 2628

Yes…. “Bushy Park Road” is the dirt road leading off Jindabyne Road through the front gate at the Rushes Creek Bridge. There is a new road sign on the same post as the Rushes Creek sign.

So now you can’t miss the front gate…. ay!

The following authorities will also be officially notified:  Land and Titles Office, Valuer Generals Dept.,  Australia Post,  Country Energy,  Telstra,  Austraian Electoral Commission.
