2013 first dump

Twas looking as though we skipped winter, but…… just as I had organised a trip to Canberra for some Truffle tasting and possibly dropping in on Eric Cope for his 69th in Goulburn, winter dropped in instead and snowed us in. So making the most of the cards that were dealt, Lou dragged out her Xcountry sticks and made first tracks while JOK and I played with snow balls. I copped one fair in the ear while taking a few snaps which you can see below:-

Fishing in the Snowy River
Fishing in the Snowy River avatar

On the approach to winter 2013, the Jindabyne Dam released massive flows to flush out years of debris. This provoked concerns about the habitation of fish in our part of the Snowy River. On this anxiety, I invited a local legendary Polish fisherman, known as Mathew Bocian to investigate the activity of fish along our own 2 kilometre river frontage which forms our South boundary. The result of which can be seen on YouTube.

Unseen Boundary

I took some photos when i ventured further than i ever had before along our boundary. There are some hairy spots to negotiate but it’s worth it to see these places and yes we are responsible for them.

Like this private beach (There is at least three similar sites along the boundary):

And this gorge (Which the deer and goats use to cross the Snowy River):

During the process of the Marshal Duncan and Mark Luntungan construction  there was an altercation between dogs when JOK bit Marshal as he tried to intervene. You are required to use your imagination from here…….

Horse shed and round yard
Horse shed and round yard avatar

Can any one suggest a good name for my horse shed and round yard? i have updated the “Woodhenge” post with a few pics. A round yard is to go in yet and the entry to the round yard will have an overhang that will bear this new name. Yes, i know it’s a bit of a wank, but just humor me please and help me out.
