During talks at our recent Oz day event down by the river, some excitement was expressed over the potential development of a permanent dwelling situated amongst the beautiful surrounds of the Snowy River. A warm cosy construction with all the basics, a secret place to camp out amongst nature and escape the stresses of life! Sound good? Well construction begins this Saturday, so if you want to be the first to book your holiday then be a part of the team that makes it happen!

About GlenOz

This will be my third summer in Jindy and haven't looked back. Originally from Adelaide, came for the snow and stayed for the awesome lifestyle this area has to offer. With endless outdoor adventures to pursue and the unique culture of the awesome people that live here, I’ll definitely be hanging around for a while!

Awesome. wish I could help out… but can’t. But I may have access to lots of 2nd hand building materials. keep the photos coming.

There is a map on here somewhere maybe James could link it to the home page so you could mark out exactly where the spot is. All the best.

We should do our own map which can be saved on our own server and call it up for updates on demand. Anyway the shacks’ footprint is on the Eastern side of the Devils Hole Creek estuary. The view and ambiance is second to none. The current access is via the sandy river bed leading east from our original camp site on your original visit, cross Devils Hole Creek to the opposite bank, walk the incline East for around 30 metres to a small ridge and be prepared to “Walla” look down on a section of the Snowy River that will take your breath away. A notable observation is the abundance of berries and ferule goats.
