Temperature drop from 35 to 15 degrees C overnight is a welcome change. Your chilly-bin will still come in handy on Saturday the 25th January. Line up your lures and rods. Be here around lunch time and join the the convoy to descend to the Snowy River. From the previously tested river habitation it will be an interesting adventure. You may want to bring your raincoats… it looks like rain. And if your real adventurous?… bring a tent…!
If this works out we could do an annual Aus-day Fish-O with trophy and documentations. We just need an event name?…. any ideas?

You can count me and Brendan in!
Maybe once I’m down there and at one with nature and my chilli bin, im sure I’ll come up with a great name for it, we will have to wait and see. I’ll throw the swag in, im pretty keen for a camp as i havnt gotten out yet this season. I will bring the fish smoker too and hopefully we will be eating fresh smoked rainbow trout for dinner. I’m also looking forward to taking my jeep down that notorious track of yours!
You bought a Jeep?!…
Yep… A Jeep
fishing is not great in the moment due to the high water temperature,
I m walk last afternoon on Thredbo to find only small fish was active and catch
the smallest brown this summer(15cm)Hope temp.on the snowy river on Nic property is much cooler and we get some fish.
i’ll use that as my excuse for my poor catch if any…!!
Is the water cloudy or murky in the Snowy at the moment? I was along the Thredbo this morning and the water was still pretty murky due to the recent storm activity and run off into the river..
Bring on the competition though..hope your all preparing yourselves to be beaten…hahaha 😉
Nah!…. crystal clear, and something in the water keeps jumping….. lots of insects though. Maybe their just monster insects?
Good stuff! I should be able to get out there by 2-3pm Nic..probably more like 2pm..hope thats not too late to catch the convoy down the mountain?
Cool…. we can wait till you get here.
